To celebrate Sustainable House Day (2nd Sunday in September), PNB has invited two leading sustainable housing experts, Architect Jo Gilles and Sustainable Building Designer Dick Clarke, to share their inspiration and insights on creating sustainable homes with us.

Sustainable House Day on September 13 provides an ideal opportunity to tour some of the most environmentally progressive homes on show across our region to gain firsthand practical knowledge, inspiration and ideas that can be applied to reduce the ecological footprint of our own homes.

Our forum on September 24 - ‘Focus on Sustainable Homes’ brings together two leading experts – both of them eminent practitioners in the field of solar and ecological home design, to share their knowledge and inspiration for better building design, and working in harmony with nature with us.

Jo Gilles is Principal Architect with Archisoul Architects based in Manly. Dick Clarke is Founding Director of Envirotecture, a specialist sustainable building design consultancy based in Elanora Heights. Their presentations will provide insights into the theory and philosophy underpinning creation of liveable and truly sustainable homes in the 21st century.

Our speakers will explore topics including the role of localness in sustainable building design, taking practical steps to a greener home, and what we can do in our own homes to include more sustainable features, even on a low budget.

Presentations will be followed by an audience Q & A panel, giving us the opportunity to gain information and answers to questions that relate to our own situations.

All welcome.  Members free;  Guests by donation $5
