On 31st May from 12pm -2pm, come along to a community BBQ gathering at Oaks Avenue Reserve to chat about creating a community garden and get your ideas. All are welcome.

PNB and Northern Beaches Councillor, Kristyn Glanville are exploring whether people of Dee Why are interested in creating a Community Garden within Oaks Avenue Reserve. Given many people don’t have a yard of their own, this small council-owned Reserve presents a possible opportunity for a Community Garden. If the community is enthusiastic about a community garden and a group of interested garden volunteers is formed, we can explore next steps of seeking formal approval from Council.

So if you’re a Dee Why local, or live nearby, or perhaps have some experience in starting up or being involved with a Community Garden, we’d love to see you there!
