Join us as we continue with our community Permabees focused on creating “Pollinator Pockets”.

At Newport Community Garden we’ll be planting a diverse mix of native flora from Bush to Bowl, and installing a dry river bed within the garden space.

A dry river bed garden is beneficial in a wet space of a garden for erosion control, water drainage management, aesthetic appeal, and biodiversity for pollinators, with local natives planted throughout.

All are welcome to come along and help with the Permabee!

About the Pollinator Pockets Project:

PNB were thrilled to be awarded an Environmental Grant through Northern Beaches Council for our “Pollinator Pockets Project” which aims to increase habitat availability and floral resources for native pollinators across the Northern Beaches.

We’re raising awareness of the importance of pollinators in maintaining biodiversity, within food systems, and for ecosystem health.

This is our first Pollinator Pockets session of three this year. Thank you to Northern Beaches Council for making it possible!
